Your Own Cross
Church School Homework for the Week of 3/23/2025
  • In the middle of Great Lent, we decorate the Cross with flowers and put it in the middle of the church for veneration.  
  • The Cross is a symbol of Jesus' victory over sin and death. When the demons see us make the sign of the Cross, they become afraid and run away, 
  • Why do you think the demons are afraid of the Cross?
  • Do you know how to make the sign of the Cross?  Show your parents and your Church School teachers how you do it. 
  • When we go through a difficult time but we still stay close to Jesus and follow His commandments, that's called "carrying our cross".
  • What are some of the ways that we can "carry our cross"?
